Submit a Piece

We welcome submissions from disabled people and others writing carefully about disability-related rights, access, and policy issues.

Before submitting, please note the following:

  • Submissions may be written under your name or a pseudonym.
  • We do not require disclosure of diagnoses or personal details beyond what you choose to share.
  • Submissions are reviewed and may be edited for clarity, length, and safety.
  • We may decline submissions that are not a good fit for the publication.
  • You may request withdrawal of a submission prior to publication.

We are especially interested in work that:

  • documents recurring barriers or patterns
  • connects lived experience to systems or policy
  • clarifies an issue that is often misunderstood or individualized

We are not able to publish:

  • crisis or emergency requests
  • content seeking personal advice
  • generalized venting without context or purpose

If you are interested in contributing, please use the submission form below.

We try to respond to all submissions within 30 days. If your piece is accepted, we'll be in touch about next steps.

Not every experience needs to be resolved to be worth documenting.
